October at a glance

October 1 – 31, 2026 · Updated nightly at 2:00 a.m. · Compared with September

This month in one paragraph

A good month that got better in the second half. 61 people enquired, 38 sat a consultation and 19 retained the firm, three more than September. The naturalization explainer video is the reason: immigration enquiries rose 41% after it went out, and Google's Local Services Ads kept bringing immigration leads at about $103 each. Fees billed came to $272,000 and $255,000 was collected, so you covered the month's overhead on October 20. Two things need your attention: Monday consultations are being missed more than any other day, and $31,400 of receivables is now more than 60 days old.

What we are doing next

  • 1Put the estate-planning landing page live and point the search ads at it; it grows the part of the firm that does not depend on Washington.
  • 2Film the green-card explainer on Tuesday, Nov 10: ninety minutes at the office, one attorney on camera.
  • 3Send statements to the two invoices past 90 days ($8,900) this week rather than wait for the adjourned closing dates.
Consultation no-shows are 18% on Mondays, against 11% the rest of the week.We added a Calendly reminder text the morning of the appointment on Oct 22. We will know by mid-November whether it worked; if not, we suggest moving Monday consultations to a phone-first slot.
Immigration enquiries are up 41% since the naturalization explainer video went out on Oct 7.It has been watched 6,300 times and is now the first thing people see on the Google Business Profile. The next video is on the Approvals tab for your approval.
What we can and cannot see.Clio gives us counts, sources, practice areas and dates only: never client names, matter details or documents. Every figure on this page is built from those counts.

What this means

Each point is a week of new enquiries; the last point is Oct 29–31, so it is short on purpose. The blue line climbed from the second week, when the naturalization video went out. The red line is steady, which is what we expect: closings and wills come from referrals and search, not from a video. Hover over any point for the exact count.

What this means

"First contact" is how each new client found the firm, taken from Clio Grow's source field and CallRail's call tracking. Seven of the 19 came through referrals, which cost nothing; nine came through Google, which cost money. The centre number does not change when you switch ranges; the slices and the counts beside them do.

Why this is here

So you can see where each number comes from and when it was last read. Every connection is read-only, through the platform's official API, in an account you own. If a connection breaks, the card turns red and we fix it before the next morning.
